Let the lightning fly
With her unseen wing
And the glances sky
That she doth fling
May mock your eye
Be clouded with tears
And laugh at your sigh
With voices fierce
Let the morning smile
And be lost in her joy
The songbirds beguile
Her feelings coy
And now she greets
The nearing day
A sweet vision fleets
In her eyes gay
Let the zephyrs swarm
In their merriment
Give a welcome warm
And a sweet consent
To all who denude
When you are distresst
For when by my side
As you, none so blest!
