Lonely I wondered like the fallen star
Homeless, forsaken uncared!








Thy smile beamed on me from afar
The Heavenly light it showed!
Like a shaft it pierced my throbbing breast
I trembled like a creeper in fear









Thy look so youthful and joyous & chaste








If evoked in my eyes a tear!
The graceful greetings thou gavest me then
And the innocent talk we had
Half opened my lips to tell thee in vain
My life's story sad
I could not speak, for, love is mute
It has no words available
Voiceless its throat, and note less its flute
Its picture invisible.
The secret lingered and vanished again
It came in my life to burst
In the deepest recess of my heart was lain
The love, in which, I'm immersed.
The self same secret was trying to leap
In all thy language sweet
May, even thro' silence thy love did peel
My similar feeling to greet!
The bonds were mutual at our first sight
To hearts the secret was open
Unasked, unseen our arms did unite
On thy lips I pressed love's token!
